Challenging Careers: Becoming A Paralegal

According to the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the annual income of paralegals was approximately $43,000 (2006), with half of employees making more or less, depending on the area of habitation (paralegals of the New York and Washington, D.C. areas usually enjoy a significantly higher salary). The BLS also predicts that from 2006 to 2016, approximately 53,000 new job openings will be (and have been) created. Knowing that there are open positions waiting to be filled once you graduate is an incredible relief, especially for those students facing graduation in these tough financial times.
